Enrol now
Enrolment:
We love enrolling children at Levin East, and we have a wonderful process to support their transition to school to be a successful one.
For all children, one of the Senior Leaders or Team Leaders meets with the parent(s) and child to start building an understanding of their interests and how we work. We then go for a walk around the school to show you the spaces, and play areas and talk more about what we focus on.
For our 5-year-old new enrollments, we like to offer 3 pre-enrolment visits, where they can be in the classroom and have a taste of how it works. This allows them to develop relationships with students and staff and gives them something to talk about with whānau at home.
Once the 3 visits are completed, they join the class full-time.
For older students enrolling, we still complete the pre-enrolment visit and school walk, and then the child starts on an agreed date.
Enrolment meetings can be arranged by contacting the school office via phone or email, or by calling in.

2022 Chromebook information for parents
Dear Parents and Caregivers
At Levin East, we encourage the use of digital technologies to support and enhance learning. Students from Teams Kohuri, Te Whanake and Mahuri are able to use a Chromebook at school.
Children in junior school (Teams Kakano and Pihinga) use IPads, which the school provides.
If you would like your child to have their own Chromebook at school, here are some things you need to know.
Te Hinaki Trust has changed its funding model and is no longer offering payment over time. They now offer families an opportunity to apply for sponsorship. Further details are available at the school office.
If you are wanting to purchase your own Chromebook, we recommend using a local retailer.

HERO
Linc-Ed Hero is our student management system. It covers a range of tasks that are important to running the school (absences, attendance etc) and even more that allow students and staff to share learning online. Every child has a page, which the only whānau can access, and we share learning posts on here. This can be accessed on a computer, tablet, iPad or mobile phone. Across the course of a year, the learning posts will cover literacy, numeracy, our school values and the developmental domains that support our classroom programmes
Access is through a parent’s email address, so it is important that we have one address for each student.
