Principal’s Pen Week 4 Term 1

Tēnā koutou katoa,

Wow! It is Week 4 already, the first three weeks have flown by.  The sun is out, and we are having a great day!  I have really enjoyed walking through classrooms and in the playground and seeing children having fun, engaged in their learning and prepared to ask questions.  They are learning so much, using a range of strategies and activities (school was never like that for me!).

I am excited to say that we have swapped platforms and are launching a new, easier to use webpage next week.  I will share the web link as soon as we are live.

While on the technology side of school, a reminder that you can see your child’s page in Linc-Ed Hero, simply by providing us with an email address and logging on to the app with that.  Please pop in and see Miss Wilson if you need help with this.

We know that every now and then, things pop up that need managing.  Please pop in and see your child’s teacher, or me, if you have any concerns.  Often we have been working on things in the background and can update you around what we have done.

We are also looking forward to the Year 5-6 camp in a couple of weeks.  Thank you all for your support in making this happen.

Finally, a quick reminder that we will be swimming most of this term and that it is really important for children to bring their togs and to label all clothing (including their towels);  The children are not always the best at picking up after themselves, and we want to make sure their clothing goes home to the right place.

Have a great week.  Feel free to pop in and catch up.
