Principal’s Pen Week 3 Term 1

Tēnā koutou katoa,

Welcome back.  It is soooo good to have our children back into what will be another amazing year.  We will have ourn ups and downs (Covid-19 has not gon away and will change things every now and trhen), but I am looking forward t a year where we offer as much as we can for opur children and they take up those offers.  For this to happen, we really need you to be on board and helping out as much as you can.  If yopu can manage a sports team, support an event, volunteer some time, make a meeting, etc etc, this will help us too support our children to be the best they can be.

We have had a great start to our year.  We have welcomed many, many new children and their whānau at a lovely pōwhiri.  The Free and Healthy School Lunch programme is finding its feet – providing 370 lunches every day to us is amazing.  The government’s programme that supports us to not ask for school fees/donations is making a difference, and staff have a big year planned.  Our overarching topic is “Past, Present. Future” and you can see how important your role is in that.  We aim to link as many events, activities and learning situations around this kaupapa.  Keep an eye on Hero, on the School App and on our Facebook page for updates.

Have a great week.  Feel free to pop in (QR code scanning please) and catch up.
