Principal’s Pen 2021 Week 2 Term 4

Tēnā koutou katoa.

We have another NATIONAL CHAMPION at Levin East School. Yesterday Anoushka Tohill represented Levin East School in the DanceNZMade National competition in Palmerston North, and she came away as winner of the Year 6 soloist section.  Anoushka, we are so very proud of you.

Term 4 continues to be busy, despite the Covid restrictions.  I am proud of the effort children, staff and our Board are putting in to their mahi – kia kaha koutou.

Thank you to those parents who have completed the recent Board of Trustees survey.  The Board are keen to hear from more of you, so the link is included here and hard copies are being sent home as well.  Please take this opportunity to have a say in the direction of the school.

An early ‘heads up’… with Level 2 likely to be with us for some time, our prize giving’s at the end of the year may become virtual.  We are working on a plan for this and we will keep you in the loop as time progresses.  We think a face-to-face prize giving is very unlikely.

A reminder, please.  When you enter school we ask that you wear a facemask and sign in using the QR code on the gates (or at the office).  We also ask that you avoid entering classroom spaces at this time.  This is purely for health and safety purposes and your support is appreciated.

A couple of reminders to finish…

Term 4 is a sun hats term.  We provide hats for all children.  It’s great for them to see adults role modelling this.

If children arrive at school before 8:30am, they are to sit on the hall steps until the 8:30 bell.

It’s only week 2 of the term and it is so busy, just how we like it!

 Have a great day.

Ngā mihi mahana
