Welcome back to Term 3. What a lovely start we had on Monday with our pōwhiri. It was fabulous to greet 15 new children and their whānau.
We welcomed Mr Shaun Lane to our staff team. Shaun will be working across the school this term and will take on the Room 13/Kōhuri Team Leadership role in Term 4. Also Room 8 has officially opened with Mrs Walden and Sophia Erceg-Erkilic is a student teacher who will be in Rooms 3 & 4 until the end of week 5 this term.
One extraordinary event this term is happening over the next 4 weeks. Thanks to Michelle Rogerson and Online Skating, we will be having skateboarding lessons for all children Year 3 and up. At the conclusion of these lessons, we will be gifted 20 boards, sets of safety gear and ramps for in-school use. Amazing!
Today the results for the National judging of ShowQuest were announced. We are extremely proud of our ShowQuest team who placed 1st for the second year in a row!
Term 3 also sees many winter sporting options. We will involve ourselves in as many of these as we can, but will probably not be able to cover them all. It also sees us looking toward 2022, with our Year 6 students already planning their visit to Levin Intermediate next week.
Again, with the busy nature of the term, we look forward to your support. Please, wherever you can, put your hand up to help out. The more help, the more we can do together.
