Exciting times! As I sit and write this our new playground is being installed. This will be an amazing space for our kids to use and I am so thrilled to see it being completed in 2021. Thank you to everyone who has supported this to happen, with a particular mention to our Board of Trustees. We will post on our Facebook page and on Hero when it is all ready to go.
I want to give you an update on the changes in staff we have for 2022.
Teachers that are leaving us at the end of the year will be:
Mr Dahya (Room 18)
Mrs Walden (Room 8)
Miss Lusse (Room 10)
Mrs Hammond (Room 20)
Mrs McCashin (Room 19)
Tim Prouting (Support Staff)
Jackie Shaw (Support Staff)
We thank them all for their amazing work and wish them well in all they do. A special mention to Mrs McCashin who has been with us for a significant length of time.
Joining the East Team next year are:
Miss Danielle de Burgh
Ms Antonia Comeskey
We are excited to have them on board.
Yesterday we had a great FEAST Workshop with the Lunches by Libelle staff. It was a fantastic way to see the process involved in making a healthy, yummy lunch.
Our tamariki involved were focussed and enjoyed the experience.
Some reminders to finish…
- When you enter school we ask that you wear a facemask and sign in using the QR code on the gates (or at the office). We also ask that you avoid entering classroom spaces at this time. This is purely for health and safety purposes and your support is appreciated.
- Term 4 is a sun hats term. We provide hats for all children. It’s great for them to see adults role modelling this.
- If your child is sick, or has symptoms like; runny nose, sore throat, temperature, coughing, feeling sick, please keep them home and resting.
- If children arrive at school before 8:30am, they are to sit on the hall steps until the 8:30 bell.
Have a great week.
